But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. - Ephesians 2:4-5
Worship is...honoring God for his rich blessings of life through Jesus.
Lord today we say thank you for loving a sinful people with nothing good within them. Yet, you took these sinful people, your enemies and made them heirs to your kingdom. Lord you took your enemy and made them children with all the privileges of your vast greatness made available to them.
Lord our attempt at worship is not even enough to honor the great God that you are. Yet, we are thankful that you accept our worship and bless us as we come to give you honor. Lord thank you for the riches that have been opened to us.
Jesus' gift of salvation opened to us the awesomeness of your wonders to us. We cannot even grasp all there is to grasp of you, but you continually show us day by day of your wonderous works.
Lord thank you for the gift of life. You came to give us life more abundantly than we could ever image. Let us remember when we come to worship you these wonderful words, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12). That name is Jesus and we worship you.
